Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan (Part 1)

Due to the fact that we are still living thousand miles away between Indonesia and United States, we decided to meet in Indonesia and take trips there as a start of our journey. We are going to share a story of our trip to Bali (again) in 2015 and Lombok as a part of Komodo adventure tour.

As you can read from our story before, Joe got sick on our first trip to Bali in 2014, so we would like to give it another chance :p

We were lucky enough to get promo tickets to Bali with AirAsia for IDR 770,000 ($59) for both of us. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are two small islands surrounded by exceptionally beautiful coral reefs and white sand beach. There are few ways to go there from Bali, we can go from Sanur beach, Benoa or Padang Bai. This time we decided to start from Sanur to Jungutbatu by public speed boat. Departure time is at 08:00, 09:00, 12:30, 16:00. You can go to the office locket near to Mak Beng restaurant, 20 minutes before departure. If you're lucky you'll get the tickets but we would recommend to come earlier just to be safe. The price is IDR 75,000 ($6) for local tourists and IDR 175,000 ($13.5) for international tourists. 

We booked the hotel at The Beach Huts Lembongan as it is located right in front of Jungutbatu beach with an affordable price IDR 250,000 ($19) per night.

The hotel also rents motorcycles for a day with full tanks for IDR 70,000 (A little over $5). You can easily reach Nusa Ceningan via the suspension bridge on foot or by bicycle or motorcycle. We chose motorcycle because this is the best way to explore both islands.

The Road to CR-1 (Spouse) Visa

It had been such torture to be left in limbo about our case. Our case was approved on July 1st, 2016 but we were still clueless about the result because the  USCIS has transferred the case to the  NVC .   E very day, w e checked the progress on their website in case there was an update but the result remained the same, " At NVC ". Our lawyer said it usually takes 2 months but it had been 3 months and still hadn't received any news.  Ayu read any thread and article she could find on Google and even made an account on VisaJourney   to talk about our case with people who were going through the same process . We learned people would call the NVC in order to get an update on their case and they did so every day, so we thought it was a good idea as well. Bali to Gili Trawangan
