Our Canadian Road Trip: Toronto

The next stop in our road trip was Toronto.  Toronto is the capital city of Ontario and it is a busy, bustling city filled with sky scrapers, trolleys, and people with some place to be. Among the sky scrapers stand the CN Tower.  The CN Tower (French: Tour CN) is a 553.3 m-high (1,815.3 ft) concrete communications and observation tower in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976, and held the record for the world's tallest free-standing structure for 32 years from 1975–2007 and was the world's tallest tower until 2009 being overtaken by Burj Khalifa and Canton Tower , respectively. It is now the third tallest tower in the world and remains the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, a signature icon of Toronto's skyline, attracting more than two million international visitors annually. Our Canadian Road Trip: Niagara Falls

We had been planning this road trip for several months. We had a few setbacks but ultimately, we were able to make our plans come to fruition in October.  We didn't rent a car, we took our own car to complete this trip. We began from Louisville, KY, to Niagara Falls, Ontario. The drive took us approximately nine hours to complete, but the scenery was nice for this time of year. We made it to the Canadian Border where we handed over our respective identification cards. The border patrol agent told us our passports weren't necessary. She went about questioning us with apparent suspicion as to why "we suddenly decided to drive to Canada". We told her there was nothing sudden about it, that we had been saving and planning it for months. She was satisfied with that answer and asked me to declare any items that may be prohibited.
