Our Canadian Road Trip: Toronto

The next stop in our road trip was Toronto. Toronto is the capital city of Ontario and it is a busy, bustling city filled with sky scrapers, trolleys, and people with some place to be. Among the sky scrapers stand the CN Tower.

The CN Tower (French: Tour CN) is a 553.3 m-high (1,815.3 ft) concrete communications and observation tower in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976, and held the record for the world's tallest free-standing structure for 32 years from 1975–2007 and was the world's tallest tower until 2009 being overtaken by Burj Khalifa and Canton Tower, respectively. It is now the third tallest tower in the world and remains the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, a signature icon of Toronto's skyline, attracting more than two million international visitors annually. We only had an hour to park so we really couldn't take a better closer picture of CN Tower.

There is nothing really much to say about Toronto. Everything we wanted to do and explore was expensive. Seeing as we were taking this road trip on a budget, our options were limited.

Before we drove to stay the night at a bed & breakfast in the neighbor city Mississauga, we decided to visit Distillery District. The Distillery District is a commercial and residential district in Toronto. A favorite destination in the city for locals and tourists famous for it unique restaurants, shopping boutiques, artisan studios, arts, culture and entertainment.

There's this interesting giant one-eyed spider sculpture which we later found out that this would not be the only spider sculpture we would see in Canada.

Gooderham and Worts was once the largest distiller in the world. It was closed in the 1990s. The district was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988.

The next day, we visited the Graffiti Alley before we drove to our next destination.
