Beyoncé: Renaissance World Tour 2023

I had not been to a concert since My Chemical Romance concert in 2008. So when I received the email from Beyoncé fan club that she is going to do a world tour in 2023 for her Renaissance album, I was so excited. Her last world tour was in 2016 and when she came to Jakarta, Indonesia in 2007, I did not get the chance to see it because I didn't have enough money to buy the ticket. I was so devastated because I have been listening to Destiny's Child since 1999 and followed her solo career as well. Who would've thought that in 2023 I would finally be able to see her performance live in the United States.

I live in Louisville, KY - not really a popular destination for a big name like Beyoncé to perform a tour/concert. I was pretty shocked that she scheduled a tour here so without hesitation I decided I would come. I don't drive because US has terrible drivers and it gives me anxiety, and since the concert starts at 7pm, I should find a friend to go with. I also have trust issues so I don't really want to get into stranger's car in the middle of the night by taking Uber. Anyway, I don't really have many friends in the US and the ones that I know are not really friends friends, they're just acquaintances. I think I just kept saying that I wanted to see her performance so bad so often that made my husband finally said, "all right, I'll go with you", so then I bought the tickets for us right away. 💘

I received the email in January and it was only available for the members, if you're in her fan club, you'd definitely get the invite. At that time there was a queue to buy tickets, I'm glad I waited for a while because even though all the best seats were taken, I still got the floor tickets for $250 each. YAY! The ticket price was not actually bad for Louisville, it started from $78 but those were the seats in the back. After buying the tickets, I started planning the outfits, because I think you should really dress up to this kind of tour especially since her Renaissance outfits are exceptionally fashionable. So the only place that sells stuff like that for an affordable price is Shein. And I was right, I even found the eyeglasses that look exactly like she wears in the promotional poster for $4; my outfit costs $21, and earrings cost $2. I couldn't be happier!!!

After a few months of waiting, the day finally came. On July 17, 2023 she was finally here in Louisville. I was very excited, I took the whole day off so I could prepare. I went to the hair salon to do my hair and did a lousy makeup job and arrived at the venue around 5 pm. Mind you, it's summer so it's very very hot. I love how people were dressing up. They opened the gate around 6:45 pm, our seats were not actually too far from the stage but I just didn't even think about the fact that these were floor tickets and there will always be people who are taller than me. Oh well.. 😫. This was very interesting though, so the organizers said that they needed to fill up seats in the front lines because some people were not coming so they started upgrading people for free. We tried but we were too late because the only available seats left were not going to be side by side so we didn't take it.

The show did not start until 8:45 pm and when she came out to the stage, people were screaming, crying, we were just very excited. Her voice OMG 😭, her performance was amazing, the lighting, the outfits, the visual, the sound, basically everything was perfect. When the artist is a perfectionist then they will go all out, which is what she did. She performed 35 songs, she always looks like she's enjoying herself on every tour so it really makes it special. I had SO MUCH FUN that night!! I hope all the beyhives out there have a chance to see her Renaissance tour because it's all worth it. You don't even need to buy the expensive seat if you couldn't afford it because there's 2 giant screens. One thing for sure though, you would be entertained for 3 hours by one of the greatest singers of all time.

Too bad Blue Ivy wasn't there, I was looking forward to her. Fun fact: Beyoncé always has 1-3 new outfits for each tour. These were her 3 new outfits for Louisville tour. Come on fashion!
